Cantina Mesa, Brama, Syrah Valli di Porto Pino IGT 2020
Cantina Mesa, Brama, Syrah Valli di Porto Pino IGT 2020
'Brama' is one of the two new products from Mesa Winery, located in Sant'Anna Arresi, in Sardinia. It is a red IGT Valli di Porto Pino wine, made with 100% Syrah grapes, with an alcohol content of 14%. The ideal serving temperature is between 14-16°C.
In the glass, Brama presents itself with a lively and deep ruby red color, with pleasant violet nuances.
On the nose, the typical varietal notes of green pepper emerge, enriched by fruity nuances of blackberries, pomegranate, strawberry jam, and raspberries, accompanied by hints of freshly cut grass, violet, cedarwood, butter, and, as the minutes go by, intense notes of mint.
In the mouth, Brama is a rich but fresh wine, with gentle tannins, well balanced, and with a pleasantly persistent aroma.
Thanks to its satisfying structure, intensity, and softness, Brama pairs perfectly with rich and decisive flavored dishes, such as chili with meat and beans, vegan chili, egg lasagna with eggplant, or larded beef fillet on balsamic vinegar and honey reduction.
About Cantina Sa Mesa
The name Mesa, which in both Sardinian and in Spanish means table or dinner table, sums up in just four letters the very soul of the winery. Nourishment, a meal among friends, maternal love, simplicity, and fragrant odours. Of the Sardinian earth. Mesa was thus born as a declaration of love for Sardinia, as a marriage of beauty and goodness, as a celebration of the island’s generosity and of its culture, expressed through one of its most noble cultural treasures, wine. It represents the fulfilment of a dream of Gavino Sanna, Italy’s most celebrated and awarded advertising professional, who dreamed of creating something extraordinary, as unique and simple as his own land, and for his own land.
Mesa’s vineyards extend for more than 78 hectares (192 acres), of which 66 (163 acres) are owned by the estate. The vines are trained vertically, mostly using Cordon Spur and to some extent also alberello (bush training), depending on the local conditions and the exposure.
