Dark and dense wine with an impenetrable color, continuing on the nose towards notes of cassis, wild blackberries and Mediterranean scrub and ending on the palate in an explosion of smoke, black peppercorns and chinotto peel. Excellent and juicy to wine.
About Tenute Evaristano
The Cantina Evaristano, today Tenute Evaristano, was founded in the 1920s by Father Evaristo Madeddu and his wife Beniamina Piredda, who founded the Sacred Heart community in Mandas (South Sardinia) with the aim of dedicating their existence to service the other people. Among the people who participated in the charitable initiative there were several winemakers who transferred their knowledge to the Evaristano community in the Mandas area,
in such a way as to use the value of the agricultural tradition as the main tool for the sustenance and social growth of the Evaristian community.
The Tenute Evaristano, now, is part of the great social project of the Evaristiana Community to support its social activities.
Young people find space in the "Evaristian Social Project": their training for physical and spiritual growth and their inclusion in the social context are in fact a priority. Currently the Evaristano estates produce wine on an area of 30 hectares in the areas of Putzu Idu (Province of Oristano, central Sardinia) and in the areas of Serramana and Cagliari (southern Sardinia), where the communities operate.
